Jennifer Blake: Lessons Learned.

Lessons Learned.

December 5, 2011

So you are probably sick of hearing from me today, but this is the third and last post for the night, what can I say guess I was in a bloggin' mood today!

Today's prompt was from here for reverb11, if you are staring like a deer in headlights and wondering what reverb11 is check it out here. It said...

What did you learn?
I learned that you cannot have expectations of others, only for yourself.
It's okay to feel lost and confused, you are not alone.
I learned that at 22 I do not need to have my life figured out.
I learned DJ's are hard to come by, so book early! Like a year in advance.
Boys and girls think completely differently.
It's okay to aim for perfection, but never focus so hard on the goal that you do not enjoy the ride.
I learned that I LOVE blogging.
I learned a small group of amazing friends is better then a large group who only stay in your life when they want something.
Let things go.
Dream big, set the bar high, and don't be afraid to fall.
I learned that I am not a fan of city living.
I learned that writing is the perfect escape for a terrible day, week, or month.
Living with a new person takes a lot of compromise and patients.
I learned that you need to be happy with yourself and love yourself before anyone else can.
I learned how to budget and become a thrifty shopper better than ever before.
and finally...I learned to appreciate the little things in life.

What did you learn in 2011?! What do you think of reverb11?

Goodnight my lovely and inspiring readers.

  3. Fabulous list! I wish I had been wise enough at 22 to know I didn't need to have my life figured out ~ it would have saved me a lot of stress in my early 20's :)

  4. @Caiti I can't say I don't have days where I revert back to old thinking and feel like I should know what I am doing with my life already, but hey 10 steps forward and 1 step back isn't too shabby!
