Jennifer Blake: One word: Stress

One word: Stress

August 8, 2012

I miss sitting on the couch with my coffee and catching up on my Google reader. I miss the days passing slowly, and I miss waking up not knowing what the day holds. Right now my life is scheduled down to every minute of every day. Yesterday I left the house at 7AM went to school until 5:30, then went straight to work and did not step foot into my apartment until just after 1AM. Longest. Day. Ever.
I am stressed that I don't have time to do the things I love to do, the things that in the long run make me less stressful! I am trying desperately to find a balance between full time school and full time work, and still trying to have a life. So far the last part does not exist, there just are not enough hours in the day! I have decided I am going to start scheduling "me" time, whether it's an hour to have some coffee and read some blogs, or an hour to go for a run or do some yoga. Hopefully this will decrease my stress and help me find balance?

I would love more ideas on how you balance it all? What do you do to calm down and decrease stress?

Also, I am looking for some guest posters! With how busy I am with school for the rest of August, I would love to feature some of you and have you write a post! Leave me a comment or send me an email if you are interested!

  1. I'm sorry you're stressing out!
I think scheduling "me" time is a really good idea. Exercise should probably be a regular too. It sounds like you have the right ideas - I'm cheering you on to make them happen.
