Jennifer Blake: A day trip to Great Barrington, Stockbridge, and Pittsfield.

A day trip to Great Barrington, Stockbridge, and Pittsfield.

October 16, 2012

We decided to jump in the car Sunday and take a mini road trip to Great Barrington, Stockbridge, and Pittsfield MA. The day started off a little rainy, but it cleared up in the early afternoon. It turned out to be the prefect fall day to explore some little towns in western MA. We started out in Great Barrington, it was a town filled with a cute main street, some fun restaurants, and a lot of foliage! We then made our way to Stockbridge, another small town filled with a quaint little downtown and beautiful houses. Lastly we swung into Pittsfield to visit Herman Melville's Arrowhead  we had been trying to do this for a while so we were excited when we realized all three places we wanted to visit were close to each other! We ate at a fun cafe called the gypsy joynt, it was filled with an interesting crowd, and delicious food.

Do anything fun this weekend? Hopefully you enjoyed some of the beautiful foliage as well!

  1. These are GORGEOUS pictures! What a lovely fall day! I especially love all the colored leaves on the ground. I have never been to any of those towns, but they all look so nice and quaint.

Connecting with you is my favorite. Thanks for stopping by!
