Jennifer Blake: Project Life 2013: Week 1

Project Life 2013: Week 1

January 18, 2013

Christmas morning at my moms was spent drinking deliscious coffee, eating cinnamon rolls (which I have a serious unhealthy obsession with) and opening presents. Well one of those presents was project life, to say I was excited would be a complete and total understatement. I am thrilled to be doing such a fun project! I am working from the turquoise edition, but I also recently purchased Elise's Seafoam Kit, which is just beautiful & fun. I will be also adding embellishments and using paper that I already have. My goal is document each week this year in one full spread, I will be capturing the good, the bad, the boring, and the fun. I got a little bit of late start because we were away for the first two weeks of January, but I am catching up. I plan on posting Sundays so you can see how each spread turned out!

Week 1: January 1st-6th

Below is the plastic insert that I decorated, I simply picked some fun paper from the Seafoam kit, and really wanted to show the year right up front so I found a tag to display it on.
This is the introduction page. I really wanted it to focus on us, since it will be our lives I am documenting for the year!
Page 1 and 2 have pictures from week 1 of our trip to Alexandria VA and Savannah GA.
The Roald Dahl quote card you see is from Elise, she put up a free download for everyone, they are amazing, I really liked incorporating one into the spread. There are a few tweeks I will make to the spread, just adding a few last little touches. My goal though is to let for of perfection and when the spread is done, to leave it and not go back. But hey its the first week so I think a little tweeking is okay.
Come back Sunday to see week 2, it will be all sunshine and palm tree pictures!

Anyone else doing project life? I'd love to see what you created!
