Jennifer Blake: Summer love.

Summer love.

August 19, 2013

Thursday morning Aaron dropped me off at the bus station and I took off for NYC with a friend. We had no big plans. Our goal was to have a girls trip where we shopped, ate, talked, relaxed and just enjoyed a little break from life. Our trip was fabulous and went way to fast we were only there for the night and we picked up a bus back to Boston Friday night at 8:30. It was a long two days with not much sleep, but so worth it. Aaron picked me up at 1 in the morning Saturday from the bus station, we made our way back home to get some shut eye and we woke up at 5 to pack our things and meet his family in Vermont for the weekend. His family has a condo on a lake in Newport Vermont which boarders Canada. Besides all of the billions of spiders that love the lake, the condo is in such a peaceful and blissful location. It was nice to escape to the lake after all the hustle and bustle of New York City. Our plans in Vermont also consisted of just relaxing. We spent Saturday morning driving there and arrived around noon. The rest of the afternoon was spent lounging by the lake and falling asleep in the sun. We enjoyed a dinner out with his family at a new pizza place and ended the night with a game of Balderdash. Sunday we decided to cross the boarder and adventure around Montreal for the day. It has been so much fun adventuring around these past few days, but I am so happy to be home. We came home this morning around 1am and waking up in my own bed felt fabulous.

More to come on both trips with lots of pictures! For now here are a few things I am currently enjoying...
