Jennifer Blake: One Little Word: An update

One Little Word: An update

September 4, 2013

my favorite little spot in our home.
It has been a while since I have talked about my one little word that I chose for 2013. If you missed the post from January where I share my word you can read it here. I also did a post about how I was planning on recording everything about it here.

The word I chose this year was open. I have tried to keep my word in the back of my mind each month and some month I remember to think about it more than others. I have barely done any documentation of it, but I am starting to add it into my project life spread. The reason I chose open is because I knew we were going to have a lot of changes and adapting to do this year, if you know me you know how much I suck at changes and adapting. I am a routine girl through and through. I wanted to go into each situation this year with an open mind and really embrace the changes that have or are coming. I would like to say that I have rocked this so far this year, but I would totally be lying. I basically had a melt down last week when my summer came to a close and I had to go back to school, I liked our summer routine I wasn't ready for a new one. On a positive note, it only took me a few days to snap myself out of being upset instead of the typical week or so, I would say thats progress.

I will power on with my one little word and I am hoping to start documenting it more, even if it is just in my project life spreads.

Anybody else chose a word for the year? Has it stayed present with you or has it fallen to the wayside?

  1. That's a cool idea to choose a word to keep in mind for the whole year! It's good to set goals for yourself. And I love that fall display!

Connecting with you is my favorite. Thanks for stopping by!
