Jennifer Blake: Morning Routine with Suave

Morning Routine with Suave

October 11, 2016

“This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group®  & Suave Professionals  but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #SuaveBeliever #pmgSuave

I saw a picture the other day that said something along the lines of "I am not an early bird or a night owl, I am some form of a permanently exhausted pigeon". It couldn't be more true. Although I wake up early, for the mere fact that once I turn over my brain goes into overdrive, and I run through the list I have to get done and then there is no turning back. I try to stay up late and sometimes if I drink enough coffee or pump myself with enough fizz sticks I can do it, but most of the time I struggle to keep my eye open past 10 or so. For me to have a great morning and not feel rushed I have to be able to have coffee, make a list of things I need to get done, get dressed and not feel like I am rushing out the door with my head cut off. The easier I can make getting dressed, doing my hair and doing my makeup in the morning, the easier it is to have time for other things and slow my mornings down a bit.
So how do I keep my morning routine for hair, makeup and clothes down to 15 minutes? Simplicity. I either shower at night and straighten my hair or shower in the morning and wear it in some kind of bun or braid. I stick to the bare minimum for makeup and I try to plan my outfit the night before.

Hair >>  My hair is curly, frizzy, and can be hard to tame. I prefer to wear it strait because it doesn't get greasy and I can make it last for a few days if I don't go to the gym or for a run. Hair products make all the difference, I was very impressed by Suave's new line of products. Sauve recently released a line with Biotin infusion & gold packaging. How do you say no to that? I take Biotin regularly because my hair tends to break easily and it gets a lot of heat damage from the constant straightening, biotin help keeps it strong. I grabbed the new line of Suave from my local Walmart the Biotin line of shampoo, conditioner and serum are infused with B7 Biotin, a vitamin known for superior hair strengthening benefits, this luxurious range reduces breakage by 95% for dramatically less hair fall vs. non-conditioning shampoo. The products are proven to strengthen as well as Pureology® Strength Cure®, luxury hair care with half the price tag, which my wallet loves. The serum makes hair 20x stronger! My hair breaks all the time from the amount of heat it gets and the amount I wear it up, this has done wonders for the breakage and has allowed me to wear my hair down more often, with less breakage I get less fly aways and I actually like the way it looks when I wear it down. Many of Suave's collections are salon proven to work as well as luxury brands!

The shampoo and conditioner work perfectly in combination to leave my hair feeling silky smooth, I even found that blow drying and straitening it went faster and I had less static and breakage which tends to be a problem for me! I follow this up with the serum and it leaves me with the perfect finished look.

Eyes >> My go to mascara is from Arbonne called It's a long story mascara. I absolutely love it and haven't gone back since the first time I used it. It doesn't cake on and it makes my lashes ridiculously long. Perfect low maintenance but gorgeous mascara.

Lips >> The last added touch for a quick and finished look is a pop of color, if I am going to work I make it subtle, if I am running errands or going to meet someone I prefer it to be brighter. I have been loving the matte look and either a maroon or red tends to be my go to.

A perfect hair care routine, a simple makeup routine, and plenty of time to enjoy my pumpkin spice coffee on the couch before having to leave in the morning for work or for errands!
